Hello, I’m TJ and I launched Sortathing to share what I’ve learned about health, nutrition and fitness over the years. The more I’ve learned, the more I know what action to take and how to develop new habits.
For years I’d kinda given in to becoming fatter and less fit as I aged. Sure, I made a few half-hearted moves to help slow that down. But nothing really worked until around 3 years ago when my understanding of what to eat and how to exercise changed completely. And with the old ideas went the fatigue and brain fog that had been holding me back for years.
I’ve always, always been fascinated by how mind relates to body, and what action each of us can take to maximise the potential of both. I studied Psychology, Physiology and Philosophy at Oxford University which taught me (more than anything) how little is really known about that sorta thing. That leaves plenty of space for personal exploration into how best to live and what action to take.
We’re not machines and we’re not computers. Every living individual is something much more sophisticated than that and impossible to define, limit or categorize.
Technology is great for maximizing this enormous human potential. One area of technology I specialize in is electric bikes, so I’ll be covering them in detail. E-bikes offer an easy entry point to the world of exercise and wellbeing, regardless of age, weight or fitness. They certainly helped me get back on the road to realising my potential.
Most of all, they’re fun and help squeeze the most out of every day you use one. There are many e-bike options available, not all of them good, not all of them safe. But as an electric bike insider, I can help guide you towards the right choices.
I’m halfway through my forties now, yet feel younger, fitter and sharper than I did in my twenties. And I’m about 20 pounds lighter too.
I went from worrying about my health all the time, to knowing with certainty that I’m moving along the right path.
Part of it is diet, part is exercise but a lot of it is a change of mind. This blog is young, but I have a whole range of subjects to get my teeth into. I’ll do my best to inform, inspire, encourage and explain in every article.
